Kasper by Michael Morpurgo

Kasper first arrived in the hotel in a box. Johnny Trott knows this because he was the bellboy carrying him in to the Savoy Hotel, screeching and howling. (The cat, I mean!). Kasper was bought to the hotel by none other then the countess of Russia, Countess Kadinsky. Over the next few weeks the countess and Johnny develop an almost mother son relationship. But when the Countess dies she leaves Johnny the prince of cats himself. Kasper. They develop a great bond and soon they are fighting for their lives aboard a legendery ship.

This is an amazing book and another triumph for Mr. Morpurgo!!1 I rate it 10/10!
